DO I HAVE TO BOOK A UNIT?

No, for those emergency situations we are here. Just turn up and we will help you store your goods.
However without booking the correct unit size cannot be guaranteed - we strongly recommend that you reserve a unit using our simple system either online, over the phone or in store.
For just £20 we will reserve the unit of your choice until the day you are ready to move in.

HOW LONG CAN I USE YOUR STORAGE FOR?
We are happy for you to stay as long as you need to. There is no maximum stay period but all of our rentals are for a minimum of 28 days.

ARE THE UNITS DRY?
Yes all units are clean dry and secure. We take great care to make sure each unit is cleaned after every stay as well as performing detailed checks at least twice a day.

WHEN CAN I ACCESS MY GOODS?
Once you have signed a simple licence agreement to start your rental you are entitled to free entry as often as you like for as long as you like during our extended opening hours.
You will be given your own personal access code to enter the building and are the holder of your own key for added security. All customers are required to sign in an out in the office when visiting the premises.

DO I PACK THE UNIT MYSELF?
We offer a comprehensive, professional, reliable removals service to help you every step of the way, from visiting your home to advise on the size of the unit you need, to collecting your goods at your door, to loading your unit safely and professionally to ensure maximum use of space.
However if you wish pack your own unit you are free to do so and we even provide free use of trolleys on site to help you.

WHAT SECURITY DO YOU HAVE?
We know how important each and every customers belongings are and take security very seriously.
The building is covered by live CCTV 24 hours a day as well as being linked to REDCARE securities for fire and intrusion alarms.
Our onsite staff our also fully trained and we work closely with the local police and PCSO’s.

ARE THE GOODS INSURED?
No but all items in your unit must be covered by insurance and we offer fully comprehensive insurance at very competitive rates. Provided by Brit Insurance. Summary of Insurance Cover.

HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED?
Our on-site team will be able to advise you in detail; but for general guidance please use our Size Calculator

WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS?
We have a simple Licence Agreement which can be completed on-site or in the interests of saving time we suggest you download our Terms and Conditions/Licence Agreement and complete relevant sections in the comfort of your own home prior to visiting the site.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS TO STUDENTS?
Yes, we offer specialist Student Holiday Storage providing adequate Student ID can be shown and we receive a completed Student Storage Licence Agreement. In the interests of saving time we suggest you download and complete this document prior to visiting the site. Our Student Discounts are very competitive and therefore subject to change – please call our on-site team for the latest prices.

WHAT IF I LIVE IN CENTRAL LONDON?
Quite a few of our customers live in Central London where self storage costs are typically much higher. By using Folkestone Storage they save a considerable amount on their self storage costs. Our London based customers typically tend to be storing items for periods of 3 months or more or where a larger unit is required. We can provide a collection service (details on request) for our London customers so storing with Folkestone Storage is just as easy as on their own doorstep! And with the amazing new “Hi Speed One” rail-link Folkestone is now only 55 minutes from London St Pancras!
